🇯🇴 Honestly, I don't know how this keeps happening to me. While scrolling down my photo archives I found a picture I totally forgot to post from Jordan back in May. It made me feel all nostalgic and really miss the country all over again! For old memories sake, you can read about my culinary journey in Jordan at the link in my profile above. This one is just a plain bread at a beautiful souk (market) in the ancient city As-Salt, Jordan. It may look dull and uninsteresting but it was during my trip to Jordan that I realized how important bread is to the middle eastern culture. A memorable quote I heard from a Jordanian friend while talking about a hardship story was something along the lines of "She was so poor, she had no money to buy bread". It has been over half a year but this exchange still stuck to my memory. I thought it was interesting how she specifically used the word "bread" to refer to food in general, showing how much of a staple it is to her daily life. I suppose it's like how rice would be to asians — i, for one, can't imagine living without eating rice. I was told with this type of thin round bread, they would just eat it with bare hands and meat folded inside. "So it's like middle eastern taco", I observed. "Yes, like middle eastern taco", my friend replied, with a hearty laugh, as i chomped on the bread. #VisitJordan #ShareYourJordan #ShotOniPhone

🇲🇴 Portuguese Egg tarts in Macau! I have been spending the past few days in Hong Kong with friends and we made a day trip to Macau today since it's only an hour by ferry. There are different types of egg tarts out there, but a Portuguese egg tart would have the slightly charred and carmelized layer of custard on the top. Very delicious. I had visited Macau a few times in the past with last trip being six years ago. I was quite surprised to see a LOT more tourists in Macau these days! Macau was a Portuguese colony until 1999, and is the first and last european colony in China. That's why you can find plenty Portuguese influence around the city. Some road signs even would have chinese and portuguese first, then english as third language. Nowadays, Macau is the world's largest gambling center. You can see most of the big casino names such as Wynn, MGM, Sands and Venetian here in Macau. The casinos are very luxurious too, even more so than those in Vegas!

Crônicas de uma perna amputada

Devido a uma doença grave, Kristi Loyall sofreu a amputação de parte da sua perna. Ela perdeu o trabalho e inventou um modo muito original para recolher dinheiro necessário para o tratamento.

SO TIRED OF BARELY BEING ABLE TO AFFORD LIFE. what's the point of insurance if they don't cover anything, I don't get it. I don't get why my premium is so much higher and my insurance seems like it's so much shittier. I just got a huge bill from my doctors office. So lol.. can't go back to the doctor until I pay that. Can't pay that until I get my tax return. Why can't life just be easy? Like you'd think that there would be a point where life would be like "okay, ease up a bit she's been through enough in this short span of time" but nope. Every day it's something else. I can't believe I took advantage of how easy my life used to be. I'm not saying any of this for sympathy, I just am perplexed. Idk. If anyone has a couple extra dollars and wishes to help out, the link to my gofundme is in my bio. I'm sorry for mentioning it. It's something I'm perpetually guilty about. The only reason I'm mentioning it is because someone had said they didn't even know I had one. Thanks for being so kind and supportive and taking the bad with the good posts. No início, as viagens eram uma espécie de hobby para Elnar, mas depois ele abriu uma agência turística especializada em viagens independentes.

Первое, что я сделал, когда заработал первые деньги, это отправил маму на море, так как она его видела только по ТВ (я писал об этом длинный пост ранее). А вчера увидел, что Билайн проводит интересный конкурс на эту тему, при котором победитель имеет возможность отправить маму на отдых. Необходимо лишь во время своего путешествия сделать фото с табличкой #мамавсехорошо, проставить этот хэштег, набрать кучу лайков, после чего жюри выберет победителя.
